The Client

Clanmil Housing Association

The project at Dromore Street, Banbridge comprises a mix of new-build houses, apartments and complex needs houses. Constructed to achieve Secure by Design Certification and Lifetime Homes standards, the dwellings have traditional masonry cavity construction with rendered finish, contractor-designed piled foundations, fibre cement slate roof and hardwood windows with feature zinc surrounds.

Our team successfully integrated their experience and knowledge to tackle the presence of free phase product, reduce ground water contaminations concentrations and extract asbestos-containing materials from within 1m of finished levels. We also removed Japanese Knotweed on site.

During the project our team actively raised money for local charities Action Mental Health and Autism NI by holding a car wash on site. They also engaged with younger members of the community by holding art competitions with local schools Banbridge Academy and St. Patrick’s College, where the winning pupils had the opportunity to have their work displayed on Forrme’s site hoarding and Facebook page.

Throughout the construction we also successfully engaged with future tenants by continuously promoting the scheme and informing them regarding site developments.
